Details for NCCER 2010 have finally been announced! It takes place during the end of Reading Week. The conference looks fantastic!
NCCER is one of two yearly conferences organized by ACERT and hosted by a university first aid team. This year, NCCER is hosted by the University of Western Ontario in London. Their first aid team is called SERT (Student Emergency Response Team). The theme is "Community Partners in Emergency Response." The conference includes many seminars, social events, and a competition. Conferences allow teams from all over Ontario and Québec to exchange ideas and practise their skills. Visiting teams have the option of billeting (staying in the homes of local SERT members) or staying in a hotel.
Many current team members have attended conferences such as MIXER and NCCER.
If you'd like to attend, please email crtcomm@gmail.com and register on the SERT NCCER 2010 website. If you are thinking of attending but aren't sure yet, please still email crtcomm@gmail.com so we can gauge interest.
Registration dates and costs:
before Jan 31st: $90
Feb 1st – Feb 7th: $95
Feb 8th – Feb 17th: $100
$50 per competing team
CRT will be able to reimburse at least half of the registration cost.

Please go to RCH 205 instead of DWE 3517.
We will be promoting CRT at a table in the SLC (either in the Great Hall or vendors' area). You will get F&P hours for attending. If you haven't officially signed up through Mike, you can still come and just tell Mike for how long you were there.
Cas. Sim. is a mandatory training event. If you must miss it, please submit a Missed Training Request Form no later than Monday, 22 February.
Please refer volunteers (friends, family members, classmates) to the Casualty Simulation Volunteer Form at http://crt.feds.ca/simulation.
Volunteers (i.e. judges and casualties) need to be in RCH 207 by 8:30.
Competitors need to be in RCH 110 before 9:30. Scenarios will start at 10:00.
The end time is approximate.
Our MOT event will take place in SLC 2143.
We're having a potluck and playing games! If you'd like to bring some food, you can contact Christian (crtmembership@gmail.com) to find out what is still needed. (We don't want to end up with only cookies, do we? Wait a minute...)
See you all there!
